Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ('Terms') govern your school's access to and use of Dugsify ('Platform'), a school management system operated by Dugsify Inc. ('we,' 'us,' or 'our'). By registering your school, logging in, or otherwise using the Platform, your school and its authorised users confirm they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between Dugsify and the school institution ('School') accessing the Platform. The person accepting these Terms on behalf of the School represents they have the authority to bind the School to this agreement.

Access to Dugsify is granted to schools and their designated users only. Authorised user categories within a school include: school administrators and principals, teaching and academic staff, administrative and support personnel, enrolled students (where enabled by the school), and parents or guardians (where enabled by the school).

The School is responsible for managing user access within its account, including creating, maintaining, and revoking user credentials. Sharing access credentials with persons outside these authorised groups is strictly prohibited.

Each user is assigned a unique account. The School and its users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials and for all activities conducted under those accounts.

Users must not share passwords with others, must choose strong and unique passwords, must log out when using shared devices, and must report any suspected unauthorised access to their school administrator or to Dugsify support immediately. Dugsify reserves the right to disable accounts that violate these Terms or where security is at risk.

The Platform may only be used for lawful, educational, and school administration purposes. The following are strictly prohibited: gaining unauthorised access to other users' accounts or data; uploading or distributing malware or harmful software; harassing, bullying, or threatening any user; misusing or sharing confidential student or staff records; using the Platform for commercial purposes unrelated to school administration; circumventing or interfering with security features; impersonating another user or school official; and posting content that is offensive, discriminatory, or unlawful.

Violations may result in immediate suspension of the school's account and may be reported to relevant authorities where required by law.

Dugsify processes personal data — including student academic records, attendance, contact information, and related administrative data — on behalf of the School as a data processor. The School acts as the data controller and is responsible for ensuring its use of the Platform complies with applicable data protection laws.

Dugsify does not sell, rent, or share student data with third parties for commercial purposes. All data handling by Dugsify is governed by our Privacy Policy and applicable laws. Schools may request data exports, corrections, or deletions through the Platform's administration settings or by contacting Dugsify support.

All software, design, features, logos, content, and materials comprising the Dugsify Platform are the intellectual property of Dugsify Inc. or its licensors. Schools and users may not copy, reproduce, modify, reverse-engineer, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without prior written permission from Dugsify.

Data and content entered into the Platform by the School (student records, timetables, reports, etc.) remains the property of the School. Dugsify is granted a limited licence to store, process, and display this data solely to provide and improve the Platform services.

The Platform is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis. While Dugsify strives to maintain high availability and data accuracy, we do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure at all times.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dugsify shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform, including any loss of data, revenue, or operational continuity.

Dugsify reserves the right to suspend or terminate a School's access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, in cases of material breach of these Terms, non-payment of applicable subscription fees, or where continued access would pose a risk to other users or the Platform.

Upon termination, the School's right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Dugsify will provide a reasonable data export window as described in our Privacy Policy. Provisions relating to data, intellectual property, and liability shall survive termination.

Dugsify may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in law, Platform features, or business operations. When material changes are made, we will notify Schools via the Platform dashboard or by email to the registered school administrator at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any updated Terms constitutes the School's acceptance of those changes.
